CPC Outdoors Hike
June 19, 2021
9:00am – 11:00am
On Saturday, June 19, please join CPC Outdoors for a hike at the Sleeping Giant State Park. Located in Hamden, CT, the Sleeping Giant Tower trail is a well-maintained, easy trail suitable for most people, including children 12 and older. The 3.2 mile loop is level, wide, uphill, and covered in gravel. See https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/connecticut/tower-trail. Highlights will include the old quarry bed and the three-story castle lookout at the turn. Meet no later than 9:15am at the Sleeping Giant State Park parking lot (across from Quinnipiac University), and enjoy the outdoors and some fellowship. We are also looking for two readers for secular and scriptural inspiration at the outset of the hike and at the turn. Contact Pat Clendenen (pat.clendenen@gmail.com) and/or John & Stacy Roney (roneyj@sacredheart.edu; mrsprofdoc@icloud.com) for further details and suggestions about what to bring. Dogs on leash are permitted!
