- Pastoral Search Candidate's Future Vision
Pastoral Search Candidate's Future Vision
12:00pm – 1:00pm
The Ruling Elders of CPC have announced that based upon the recommendation of the Pastoral Search Advisory Committee (PSAC), they are nominating the Rev. Craig Luekens as our next Senior Pastor. As for next steps, consistent with our Book of Church Order, the congregation must vote in favor of a candidate before the church can extend a call. In the case of an internal candidate such as Craig, the Book of Church Order requires a different procedure and a higher standard: the vote must be by secret ballot, carry by four-fifths (4/5) majority, and be ratified by Presbytery by a three-fourths (3/4) majority vote. The session has called a congregational meeting on Sunday, June 4, after the worship service for this purpose. Today, after the service, Craig is invited to present his vision for CPC going forward, and to take questions from you. For those of who cannot attend this session, it will be video recorded and sent via email early this week to members and regular attenders. Learn More
