We believe that more than a source of mission, the carefully designed, apostolically-organized, church is the locus of mission and the very life giving and mediated presence of Christ within a city. Just the church being the church with the whole world present is God’s missionary strategy to the world (John 1:14, 20:21)! Here are a few examples of CPC Outreach:

Loving New Haven Impact Week

Loving New Haven Impact Week is a time for our local congregations to come together for a week of missions in New Haven. Some examples of projects include hosting a Sports and Arts Camp at John C. Daniels school in the Hill, Theology Camps for high school students, community workshops, and mercy projects such as retiling the bathroom floor for a single mom and replacing leaky windows for a widow. We work together and then celebrate God's work among us with fellowship events.

Christian Faith and Practice

CPC, on occasion, hosts special events and seminars open to the public on topics within Christian Faith and Practice presented by distinguished and notable speakers.

UNsad Party

This is an example of an outreach to our friends and neighbors in the form of a social event.  Our heart behind this party is both to defy the winter blues in their face and invite our friends to share in the joy of the body of Christ. Being eager for winter to be over once January or February comes around, we invite friends to invite friends and share the season together.

Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (DESK)

Occasionally we gather participants of CPC to serve meals at the local soup kitchen. This is a very practical way to provide for the needs of the homeless in our city, as well expose our own self-righteousness and closed-mindedness.
