Guest Lecture with Farhana Nazir

September 26, 2019 Speaker: Guest Series: Guest Lecture

Topic: Sunday School

This is a recording from a special lunch and lecture with Farhana Nazir, who was part of the visiting scholar program at the OMSC.  Farhana studied at Princeton Seminary and Edinburgh University Divinity School and is working on the book "Lay Hands Suddenly on No One." This research is based on a historical view of the Presbyterian Mission of North America in Pakistan and its critical implications in Pakistani today on Christian converts. She is looking at early converts from poor untouchable casts, their struggle to keep the faith, and becoming role model leaders in history. The struggle of that time is different from the struggle and hardships Christians face today. What is the future of mission in the Presbyterian church in Pakistan?
