C.S. Lewis' wonderful novel of a "dream", The Great Divorce, seeks to expose the need for all of us to make a final and ultimate choice. As he writes in the Preface, "if we accept Heaven we shall not be able to retain even the smallest and most intimate souvenirs of Hell."
Our course will incorporate weekly dramatizations of the conversations in the novel, along with biblical and theological reflections that the novel touches on. By discussing an insightful and intense, yet imaginative book, our hope is that we open ourselves for a more forthright and pure devotion to Christ.
